Luis Torres

Head Coach

Luis Torres is the Founder and Head Coach of Patagonia FC, bringing a wealth of experience, passion, and leadership to the academy. Originally from Chile, Luis has dedicated many years to football both as a player and coach, with a strong focus on youth development and creating opportunities for young players to reach their full potential.

 

Luis combines technical football knowledge with a commitment to player safety and personal development. His coaching philosophy is heavily influenced by the Latin style of football, emphasizing creativity, confidence, ball mastery, decision-making, and a genuine love for the game.

Carl Webster

Coach | Head of Youth Development

With over 10 years in grassroots football, Coach Carl leads Patagonia FC’s player development pathway from U10 to U13.

 

He holds CAF C Licence, Honours Degree in Sport Science, First Aid and has completed specialist workshops in injury prevention and youth athletic development.

 

Coaching Philosophy
Caoch Carl believes the best players are built, not born. His “Skills First” approach means every Patagonia player masters the ball before tactics. Training is high-energy, game-based, and designed so kids leave smiling and better than they arrived. Core values: Effort, Honesty, Team First.

Jonathan Nunez

Coach

Jonathan Nunez is an experienced coach at Patagonia FC and a passionate football enthusiast who takes great pride in being the father of an Under-15 New Zealand representative player.

 

Having coached and developed both of his sons into talented footballers, Jonathan brings valuable hands-on experience and a deep understanding of player development.

 

He is passionate about sharing his knowledge of the game and teaching the technical skills, creativity, and football intelligence that are characteristic of the Latin style of play.

 

His dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping young players grow make him a valued member of the Patagonia FC coaching team.

Sebastian Vera

Coach

Sebastian Vera is a coach at Patagonia FC with playing experience in Premier and First Division football in New Zealand. Passionate about player development, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping young footballers reach their potential.

 

Known for his energetic personality, positive attitude, and strong connection with players, Sebastian creates a fun, motivating, and supportive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game.

Alejandro Henríquez González

Coach

Alejandro Henríquez González is a coach at Patagonia FC with a strong background in sports training, player development, and safety.

 

A qualified Physical Education Teacher specializing in Sports Training from the University of Viña del Mar, Alejandro has experience as a football instructor, program director, and team coordinator.

 

He is passionate about helping players grow both on and off the field while promoting injury prevention and safe training practices.

 

His leadership, communication skills, and First Aid and CPR certifications make him a valuable member of the Patagonia FC coaching team. Alejandro is bilingual in Spanish and English, allowing him to connect with and support players from diverse backgrounds.

Svyatoslav Alexander Petropavlovskiy

Goalkeeper Coach

Svyatoslav is a dedicated Goalkeeper Coach at Patagonia FC with a strong passion for football and player development. Originally from Russia, he has been involved in the game for over 11 years and brings both playing and coaching experience to the academy.

 

With three years of coaching experience, Svyatoslav specialises in goalkeeper development, helping young goalkeepers improve their technique, positioning, decision-making, confidence, and overall understanding of the game. He is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where players can develop both on and off the field.

 

Svyatoslav currently plays for Eastern Suburbs AFC, allowing him to share valuable insights from a competitive football environment with the next generation of players.

 

His enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to player development make him a valuable member of the Patagonia FC coaching team.

Didier Nunez

Coach

Didier Nunez is a coach at Patagonia FC who brings valuable experience from playing football at a high level in both Chile and New Zealand.

 

He currently competes in the Northern League Premier Division and was part of the championship-winning team that secured the Northern League Premier title in 2025.

 

Passionate about football from a young age, Didier is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of players. He enjoys helping young footballers develop their technical skills, game understanding, confidence, and love for the sport.

 

Through his energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to teamwork and sportsmanship, Didier creates a positive and supportive environment where players are encouraged to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Rachel Su

Operations Manager

Rachel Su is the Operations Manager at Patagonia FC and plays a vital role in the day-to-day running and continued growth of the academy.

 

Her responsibilities include managing registrations, player and parent communications, scheduling, social media, and administrative systems, ensuring coaches, players, and families remain informed and supported throughout the season.

 

Rachel works closely with the coaching team to coordinate academy operations and maintain the high standards and family-oriented culture that Patagonia FC is known for.

 

Passionate about youth development and creating opportunities for young players, Rachel shares the academy’s vision of helping children grow not only as footballers but also as confident, respectful, and resilient individuals.

Julia

U9 Team Manager

Julia is the Team Manager for Patagonia FC’s U9 team and plays an important role in supporting players, parents, and coaches throughout the season. She helps coordinate team communications and match-day logistics, ensuring everything runs smoothly both on and off the field.

 

As a proud mum of two players at Patagonia FC, Julia understands the importance of creating a positive and enjoyable football experience for both children and families.

 

Friendly, approachable, and highly organised, she is the first point of contact for parents with questions regarding schedules, game information, team activities, and other day-to-day matters. Her dedication, support, and commitment to the club help foster the strong family-oriented culture that Patagonia FC is known for.

Vanessa Torres

U7 Team Manager

Vanessa Torres is the Team Manager for Patagonia FC’s U7 team and plays a key role in supporting our youngest players, their families, and coaching staff throughout the season. She helps coordinate team communications, training updates, and match-day organisation, ensuring that families have the information and support they need.

 

As the proud mum of two children at Patagonia FC, Vanessa understands the importance of creating a positive, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where young players can develop confidence, friendships, and a love for football.

Yes. We have covered facilities to train on those dark rainy days. 

Players should come with appropriate training gear, including soccer boots, shin guards, and a water bottle. For goalkeepers, gloves are recommended.

Yes. Your child can play for another club but still train with us to improve themselves. We are training academy focussed on getting the best out of your child.
